Falls Church is about 7 miles west of DC, and mebbe an hour to BWI, depending on what time of day. I've made it faster, and slower.
I can loan an extra DVD player, and we've got a guitar amp if needed.
I don't have any idea what to wear either, but I'll wing it. And I'm still nervous about meeting everyone, but also really really wanting to.
Is the plan for all music to come from the laptop?
Yep. I'm bringing my laptop and my music library, so we'll have a bit over 15,000 tracks at our disposal.

Oh my. How will we ever decide what to play? Will somebody make a party mix?

Snerk. And also, bwah!
Maybe we can find a good radio station.
Will somebody make a party mix?
I'll have a mix already set up, the extra stuff is pretty much there in case I miss stuff in putting the mix together. If folks want to have a hand in what gets into the mix just find some time with me before the Prom.

I kind of figured. I just had this funny image in my head of a bunch of people in swank party gear huddled around a laptop looking at a long, list of songs saying "That one. No, ooh! That one. No wait! That one!"
"That one. No, ooh! That one. No wait! That one!"
"Spark up the extra laptops! Can someone set up a quick Mister Poll?"
And just you leave out those eighties songs, mister! You know how much people hate those!

Hee! Emily put a big dumb grin on my face!
I'm afraid all I can muster for the prom is slacks and a fancy top. I'm trying to decide whether I should dazzle y'all with The Garnets. I own one spectacular piece of jewelry, a necklace made of hundreds of garnets that I inherited from my great-aunt. It normally lives in a safety deposit box and it might like a party.
