Oh, sorry.
Yes, she does cop to it.
::fires up MMJB::
Oh, what's the next chorus
To this song now?
This is the one now
I don't know.
But it was the swinging tune,
And it's a hit tune.
So we try to do
Mack the Knife ...
Oh, Louie Miller
Oh something 'bout cash
Yeah, Miller, yeah he was feeling that trash
And Mackie dear he spends like a sailor
And tell me tell me could that boy do something rash.
Ah, Bobby Darin & Louis Armstrong
They made a record, oh but they did.
But Ella, Ella and her fella ...
We're making a wreck,
What a wreck
Of Mack The Knife
...excellent Satchmo impersonation...
So you've heard it,
Yes we've swung it
And we tried to
Yes we've sung it
You won't recognise it
It's a surprise hit.
This tune called Mack The Knife.
And so we leave you
In Berlin town
Yes we've swung Old Mack,
yeah we swung old Mackie down.
For the Darren fans
And for the Louis Armstrong fans too
We told you look out, look out
Old Mack is back in town.
She pretty much fakes 2/3 of it.
Sinatra does, too, in his cover of the song. He goes on and on about the other guys in the studio with him.
Yay, sounds like we could definitely have some fun Buffista karaoke! Whoot! (I mean, there was karaoke at the first F2F Friday night also, though I don't remember if any of us were singing)
Sean, fi you're getting in that late, yeah, maybe staying with Anne is the best bet for Thursday--is SA getting in then also, or were you just shadowing each other for no particular reason?
I will be happy to go watch the Karaoke, but I am not going to sing. I am especially not going to be singing Waterloo.
Sorry Empress.

We're trying to stalk each other, but I dropped the ball on the Thursday plans.
Heh. That Ella version is from her famous Live in Berlin album - generally considered to be one of the greatest jazz vocal albums ever. I think she only attempted Mack the Knife since she was there. She does know all the words to Cole Porter's "It's Too Darn Hot" on that album, however, and it's great.
. I am especially not going to be singing Waterloo.
A) DX has a big keyboard.
2) Spoilsport.
How about "Fernando"?

A) I like your numbering system.
2) Not DX's fault, just the way the conversation was flowing.
iii) No. Believe me, NO one wants me to sing. I'll sit and watch and drink.
How about "Fernando"?
Chiquitita?
A) I like your numbering system.
Ahh, the Mad About You shoutout. Use it all the time, my friend.
