Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Someone on LiveJournal is doing summaries of The Sillmarillion. They're irreverent, brief, and, I suppose spoileriffic. But fun.

Art Crawl!!!

Last night while I was watching Joan of Arcadia an ad for the theatrical editions of the trilogy. I can't tell you how my heart leaped when the ad came on -- it's just so sad.

(They are advertising the dvds at a new price -- but they didn't mention what that price is.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

News at my rehearsal last night: in conjunction with the LoTR exhibit coming to the Museum of Natural Science, we're doing two more concerts of the LoTR Symphony.

Checked in with myself, and I'm still entirely geeked.

Hm. I'll have to seriously consider a road trip. It might be doable.

The exhibit itself is worth the trip, I think.
