It shipped! It shipped! It shipped! (does Snoopy dance)
LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
The tracking thing hasn't been updated since yesterday AM.
It's only an 8 1/2 hour trip from where it shipped to where I live. This means I get it today, right? Right??!!??
A friend sent that to me this morning, sumi. I said that one of the advantages of being a grown-ass man (TM Bernie Mac) was that no one could torture me that way anymore. In 35 minutes, I will walk 5 minutes down the street to the HMV, pick a box of the Special Edition off the stack and croon and grasp it all the way home. And there's nothing the family Gift Tyrants can do about it (my sister, who I adore, is the greatest of these, but she has conceded on the LOTR front).
Mine's in Greensboro! It's been arrival scanned and unload scanned. I could just, like, drive over there and get it, right?
Woo hoo!
Hmmm, this means that Amazon's updated their website, right?
My Amazon ship list is on today's date.
Um, did that make the kind of sense I meant for it to?
Uh, no.
But then, my package is still "accepted" in Kentucky, you know, as of yesterday, with no further update.
So frustrating.
My Amazon order, which consists of RotK EE and Hec's book, which I placed weeks ago, is saying FEBRUARY delivery! I hope that's just them being over-cautious with giving a delivery date, 'cause what's the point of ordering online if you can go out to Best Buy and get around the same price?
I hope it's extreme caution on their part.
Also, the official LotR website just sent me an update:
Guess what? The Extended Edition of Return of the King is being released today!
Who. Knew.
