I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

DVD's are almost always released on Tuesdays, except for Shrek 2.

move out and draw fire

John, you are a pimp.

I haven't been to the New Line store in like a year, and had just assumed it was all the same stuff. Now, thanks to your handy links, it turns out they have new stuff I just have to have, or have to buy for someone for Christmas.

I've got paperback 3-vols sets for reading, except for a 1-vol book that I kept at the office to resolve disputes there. It seemed less geeky than having a 3-vol set at work. Yeah, I know, my cow-orkers and I were having fights over whether Aragorn had served in the Minas Tirith military, or why the three Elven rings didn't corrupt their bearers like the One Ring did, and I'm worried about my desk looking geeky.

Just pre-ordered the ROTK EE for my DH for Xmas...now I need a 50" plasma screen to go with it. It's the little accessories that make a gift complete.

TORN says:

David and many others write: The ROTK EE teaser trailer on the front page of the official site is now advertising an extended trailer, due to be put on the site on Nov 29. The ad is right at the end of the teaser trailer.

I KNOW! I got all uh, excited when I saw that stuff and where else would I run, not walk, with intel like that?

my cow-orkers and I were having fights

Excellent workplace dorkage. Much jealousy here. I have one guy I can talk football with. The rest? Lumpy. Lumpy who? Lumpy wid.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Random thread-butting:

In Abergwili, where I go to work every Friday, I stumbled across this site and was so excited because it looked like that scene from LOTR.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ha! That's awesome. I remember being very excited when I visited the Drakensburg Mountains in South Africa, because they looked very much like the Misty Mountains.

I keep stumbling over Tolkein references here in Wales--Arwen, for an example, is probably a female version of the Welsh male Arwen. It's kind of neat.

Art Crawl!!!

London Trilogy Showing.

I can't tell if it's the EE Trilogy though.

Also, the movie exhibit is in Sydney starting on December 18th.
