LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Late report from Worldcon: LOTR: The Return of the King won the Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form, and Gollum's Acceptance Speech at the MTV Movie awards won Best Dramatic Presentation: Short Form.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been doing a rewatch of FotR with production and post- commentary.

I'd forgotten (or never noticed) that Gimli and the hobbits are the correct relative sizes to each other. How cute. Also, odd.
