LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks sumi, I knew they were coming to Houston sometime in 2005 (from one of your posts, probably) but hadn't heard any dates. When I saw that Indiana had actual dates, I started to worry.

I'm checking the museum's web site pretty regularly. It'd be a long drive just to check advertising - I'm planning on making the exhibit the centerpiece of a roadtrip.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Am I the only one that feels that the retraction of the Dec. 14 street date is a very bad sign?

If I have to wait till next year for this......!

Art Crawl!!!

It looks like the exhibit is hanging out in each city for about 3 months -- so Indy gets the last quarter of 2005 -- there are still 3 other quarters, right?

Yup. I'm switching from pessimistic to optimistic :-)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I should actually be going to the Houston MNS next week, when my brother-in-law is in town, so I'll keep my eyes open.

We should go together!

Heh. I am laughing at my own willingness to plan to attend events more than a year in advance. The LotR fandom has long-term vision, because it knew from the beginning that the source of its fannishness was a years-long process.
