Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Someone said (here, I think) that his Spanish was so regional, you could almost tell the block he grew up on. I can't imagine having that good an ear, or that distinct an accent.

My friend isn't that good with Argentinian accents. She's better with Spanish accents and is very curious at how he'll do playing a Spaniard in a Spanish movie.

Good enough for his rabid fanbase, but they'd probably love his Xhosa too.

In Xhosa?

You're probably right -- I did listen to the Danish and I have no knowledge at all of Danish. . . but I wanted to hear what it sounded like.

You know I completely missed out on the rebates for people who bought both the theatrical and EE editions of FotR and TTT -- because a. I didn't know about them and b. in the case of FotR I bought the theatrical waaaay later.

So, FYI -- there is going to be a rebate of $5.00 for people who have bought the theatrical release and the EE and $10.00 if you bought the theatrical and the Special Gift EE.

Here is what the new line guy said in the TORN interview:

We aren’t requiring cash register receipts for the theatrical DVD, but proofs-of-purchase and receipts for the Special Extended Edition will be required.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

There were also a couple extra tracks that didn't make it to the final soundtracks for the movies...another Annie Lennox song, some music from a trailer that didn't work out. Two Howard Shore tracks that were in the movie but cut from the soundtrack.

It's disturbing and amusing at the same time.
