LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Art Crawl!!!

Would that have been damaged by Claire Groghan?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Would that have been damaged by Claire Groghan?

It's a good damage, no?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

So The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is just a total lovefest, no?

(I mean, it is for me, but for the snotty parts and the choral singing, more than for the accent by itself.)

Well...Clare Groghan and Fiona have the added virtue of being very cute Scots.

Damn you Aimee and your connections!

Also, so people are excited about Lost and it's DM-ness -- but what about that Sci Fi thing with Sean Astin? Is there no love for that?

Oh, and I hear that Orlando Bloom is on the cover of the May issue of Premiere and that it's chockful of Troyie goodness.

Actually, the Sean Astin film was one he did (IIRC) before LotR came out--strictly a money job, he confessed in an interview I read some time ago, so I don't have any great expectations for it.

Nope, one of the movies that Sci-Fi picked up for broadcast. I do think that it's the first time it's been shown anywhere--IIRC, in the interview (I think it was the ignfilmforce.com one), Astin said that it was filmed in Africa, and then never managed to get sold to any studio and it never went to video, either.
