Sampling was not without problems, chief of which was sporadic contamination caused by downdrafts from the wings of the Nazgûl’s vile beasts as they passed along the flight corridor over the Marshes.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!
Oh, god, I'm dying.
The stars are veiled. Something is stirring in the pants; a sleepless malice.
Royd Tolkien on the movies.
The pants are restless.
Bwah! Captain Obvious strikes again.
Do not put your trust in pants. They have forsaken these lands.
This is my favorite, I think:
Tonight we remember those who gave their pants to defend this country.
ooh, though, also
I come with tidings in this dark hour, and with pants.
Always good advice:
Abandon your pants! Run for your lives!
Just funny:
I do not doubt his heart, only the reach of his pants.

Oh, these are good. I'm thinking about just surrendering to the GeekYay and going with NAZGRRL.
NAZGRRL
Nice!
NAZGRRL
That one's a classic!
From a report on TOR.c on a SAG Q&A with Jackson and some of the cast:
The moderator asked PJ about his distinctive style, especially his love of close-ups. PJ said "actor's faces are where the story gets told" (appreciative and enthusiastic applause from the SAG people, natch). He also pointed out he doesn't like using profile 2-shots, and avoids them whenever he can, as he really likes to be able to see both eyes...
Onto the topic of DVDs: PJ said he's always thought it would be cool to have "actor's cuts" of films as well, and he mentioned that while nothing is in place, he'd like to put out another special edition when HD-DVDs become popular -- he said it'd be a real "filmmaker documentary version", showing deleted scenes, talking about why they'd been cut, blooper reels, audition tapes -- getting into the nitty-gritty of the actual production itself. He also confirmed the ROTK:EE running time at 4:10 (he just finished it, apparently) and said there's a funny easter egg on the ROTK DVD when Elijah is doing live-via-satellite PR interviews from NY with reporters in Berlin, and how Dom pretended to be a German reporter and started asking the most unusual questions. (Come to think of it, he didn't say if this would be on the regular or EE version of the ROTK DVD; my guess is the EE)...
Questions from the audience: "Are you shooting THE HOBBIT in secret and calling it KING KONG?" Much laughter. John jumped in and said when they did reshoots this summer and fall, the first day back all the actors started off the day walking around like monkeys, hooting and hollering. (Dom, indignant, said that was the way he normally walked.)...
The tattoo question came up: PJ talked a bit about him getting talked into getting a "10" tattoo, but he said Mark Ordesky (!) and Barrie Osborne (!!) also got them, and how they were getting tattooed on the first day of FOTR's release in North America, and how he remembered sitting in the tattoo parlor, getting worked on, and seeing Mark Ordesky getting tattooed and getting phone calls about the early grosses at the same time.
