It's all about the coat.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Aw man, Jess, that sucks. But hey, extra $100!

What satellite channel, do you know?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Sorry, I was unclear -- he's not appearing on television, he'll be doing the "Conversation with Peter Jackson" from New Zealand via satellite.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Poor JessiMoon. First she gets screwed out her Trilogy Tuesday tix with appearances by hobbits now this.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

(he still got Serkis, Astin, and Hill)

Please tell me that by "got" you mean "kidnapped and brought home for the weekend."

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

That's what I was hoping she meant, amych.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dibs on Hill when she's done.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Something came up, and PJ wasn't able to be in NYC this weekend, meaning that not only did DH not get to interview him yesterday (he still got Serkis, Astin, and Hill), but his live presentation at Lincoln Center tomorrow has been changed to a via-satellite presentation instead.

Aw, shit. I have several friends who went down to NYC this weekend to see that. They'll be really disappointed.

Well, of course! I'd let them type a hello or two, but they're a bit tied up at the moment, and just can't tear themselves away...

Swouncing

t Threadsuking the whole thread

t Jumping straight to the end, skipping all the definitely-to-be-read posts

So, I've finally seen it. I've waited (heroically, if I may say so myself) in order to be able to watch with my brother, when he has a weekend off from the army, and that was this Saturday.

I still don't have words running in my head, only images and pictures. Maybe some sounds, but mostly pictures (my brain, see, is a rather 'scary visual place'). So when I get to have words, I'll post them, and later I'll catch up on this thread (I can't wait to do that, but I'd like to know what I think, first, if I'm making myself clear, and I'm not sure I am - that lack of words thing makes it difficult).

So I guess that all I'm saying is that I'm going to say something when I can. That's not a very content-full post, I'm afraid.

[Edited because posting in pictures wasn't invented yet, and posting with words has spelling-errors]

Oh boy! We're gonna get a Firefly-style review from Nilly! Can't wait!
