Virginia Wolfe's Mrs. Dalloway? Ummm.....
We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I'm The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
I hated those books.
I think I must have self-image issues. Arse.
Hey, I'm The Guns of August too, which I'd never heard of. Apparently I'm Eurocentric, though.
I'm Huckleberry Finn. Screamingly funny, bitingly satirical, and sometimes my dialect is incomprehensible.
That description is mine, not from the website.
Heh. I got the divine and wonderful Barbara Tuchman: The Guns of August:
Though you're interested in war, what you really want to know is what causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in the past and have a hard time dealing with what's going on today. You're also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can diplomats."
Just back from Left Coast Crime, and may I just say, Walter Moseley is to DIE FOR. He hosted a showing of "Devil In A Blue Dress" (not that the star of that is too dusty either) and was in the hall, signing things, being mellow, and well, to DIE FOR.
I'm ULYSSES. Huh.
I don't have a problem with that. Never been able to make it through the damn thing, but someday...
Ken, I expected to be Ulysses, based on my answers, and I adore the book with a stone passion. But I'm Barabara Tuchman, even if it wasn't the first choice of Tuchman I'd have gone for, and I'm totally fine with that.
Interesting. I didn't hesitate on a single response. It was all - longwinded, check, stream-of-consciousness, check, loves Great Britain (which seems a tad leaning), check.
I wonder if different answers brought different questions. May have to go back and see what book I am absolutely NOT.
Curiouser and curiouser. You DO get different questions. Started out going anti (by saying concise), but after that went with the honest responses.
If I was concise, I'd be Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut. Heh.
I 've taken it three times sidharttha

I have to start with consice. I am only long winded at 2am when DH wants to sleep, or after I drink.
