It wasn't closed, but the window vanished, and the entry in the task bar vanished.

I know it wasn't closed down because when I restarted the window reappeared instantly and didn't ask me for my proxy login information.

It was very surreal.

I've had Firefox crash so that the window and task bar icon vanished, but it was still listed in task manager. Never was able to restart it, though.
