We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Hey, have any of you read Anne Garrels' book? Worth it? Not worth it? Worth getting from the library?
I got it from the library and really enjoyed it, but don't feel a pressing need to own it.
Dude. You know, I don't generally hold much stock in Amazn's recommendation feature, but I was futzing with the SF/Fantasy recs to please my shopping fambly, and in the midst of a sea of LOTR items (most of those that I want, I own) I found that they'd recommended the TPB of Fray. That was pretty clever of them.
(Not that I don't own the individual issues of Fray already, and you know I realized I'd put Firefly on my wishlist, but anyway, it was sort of cool.)
Yeah, I got Fray, too. But I've also bought at least one set Buffy DVDs from them, so that may be it.
(wish me luck at today's signing with Tad, please)
luck
see you tomorrow with Vortex in tow
Good luck.
Luck, Deborah
Best o' luck, Deborah!
I ordered two copies of The Weaver and the Factory Maid from my local bookstore today.
Hey, is the bound version of all of Fray available now? So I can order it?
ION, while in my local bookstore, I snagged a copy of Fighting the Forces, the collection of lit-crit about Buffy by the folks who run www.slayage.com. What I've read is pretty good but I'm already annoyed at the writer who describes Buffy/Spike fic as "slash". Argh.
