Making a Skippy McSkipperson cameo appearance to recommend a wonderful book I just finished:
The Time Traveler's Wife
by Audrey Niffenegger. It was a wonderful read, and so unbelievably complex yet utterly readable. Bittersweet and beautiful and oddly funny. Quirky.
It's one of the most original and interesting books I've read in a very long time. You can find info and reviews about it here on Amazon.
Oh, another friend of mine just recced that to me, Kristin! I am intrigued and shall check it out.
I'm having far too much fun reading McSweeney's when I should be working: If Bukowski wrote children's books....
Rufous Spiny Bandicoot
I have found the perfect nickname for my wife.

Humph. I happen to be a very vanilla sinner, thankyouverymuch.
My favorite list so far.
Second favorite.
Possibly belongs in LOTR.
Spiny.
Numbats are the cutest things on the planet, but they just don't sound like they can be smart, do they?
My step-mom just sent me
The Red Tent
by Anita Diamant. Loving this book. I almost finished it in one day.
