We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Re: "Sunshine" - I took all the verbiage about baking as the author's method for grounding the character in the mundane, to remind us that she was a regular person before the fantastical events of the story, and also to point out that humanity was not something she shared with Con. Plus, I really wanted a share of all the desserts Rae made.
Yeah, I don't fret too much if I'm running late returning a book, 'cause I don't really mind paying the fee. Not that the fee is going to help funding much. And it's not too nice to my fellow library users.

Yeah, but I never really believed the character was a professional baker, based on the things she said. I have Baking Issues.
Huhn. That went right by me. Clearly I know naught of the ways of commercial baking.

All I know is that it involves getting up very early in the morning.
In a related note, the next town over DOES contain a Hostess factory. All I know about it thus far is that it smells very good over there, but its certainly available for further investigation.

Same here. All the baking descriptions did for me was make me horribly, horribly hungry. I *still* want a cinnamon roll. Or ginger cake. Or a brownie. Heck, any of those will do, and if they could be delivered with a well-written vampire novel I haven't read yet, I would bounce up and down with joy.
Jilli -- that sounds like an excellent rainy day type treat.
(Helpfully) The Mother's Cookies factory is across the freeway from my job, and when the wind is east to west, the parking lot is bathed in chocolate chip cookie smell.
Hongry. Wanna cinnamon roll as big as my head.

Hopefully I can accoommodate you, madam, but not today. Back to editing....
