You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Have you considered John Bellairs' The House With a Clock in Its Walls ?

Ooo...that's a goodie! Love that series with Rose Rita and Lewis Barnavelt.

If I only had a brain...

That would be an excellent choice, but the protagonists are, I think, elementary-school age. Love that book.

Herding cats for fun

Interestingly enough, I went to school with his son, Frank.

Ooh. Tell us a story about that, please.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There's also the (I swear to heaven) Roger Vadim update movie of "Carmilla", called "Blood and Roses."

Inspiring the excellent Smithereens song, "Blood and Roses."

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Hec, I actually own the movie on VHS.

Fun, in a twisty, bad dancing, tight pants, Bardot-wannabe early sixties eurotrash way.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

IMHO, the only way Eurotrash should be!

Guys, the suggestions are great! Thanks so much.

Oh, and Haunted Mansion was one of the movies mentioned when I polled the clss I observe today about supernatural movies they liked.

Er, no.

Eurotrash vampire movies are the best! I'm also very fond of the early 70s Daughters of Darkness with Delphine Seyrig. Very elegant and louche. Set at an off-season resort. Kind of Thomas Mann with more biting and lesbianism.

Sacre merde, I do believe I've seen that one!

Daughters of Darkness. Evil with a finger wave.
