Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oy. Sweetpeach, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Say it isn't so. (weeps)

I will change my evil Earl ways.

Just because you called me "Sweetpeach."

I'm a cheap ho for fruit endearments.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

My big fo-pah in junior high was reading out loud something from my advanced history class and pronouncing "corps" like "corpse." Even the teacher laughed. Sigh.

Not javachik

I tried "Earl" a few times and it just didn't sound right. I'm glad I was correct in using U-R-L. For once!

How do you say often? I learned "of'en" - it might even have been the word that led to the parental guiding to the regular & habitual use of the dictionary. Then in a later year, I argued with a teacher about "of'en" vs. "of-ten," which she preferred. I wouldn't give in to her, we produced a dictionary, and we both were right. What you do say?

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone pronounce the "t" in "often."

Likewise, does anyone say "com-for-ta-ble?" I've always said it "comf-terble." Pronouncing all the vowels seems like too much work.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The link is at the bottom of the straight page.

Herding cats for fun

(all) Read the FAQ, read the FAQ!

I can't find the song either.

Clearly my role for today is to follow Beverly around and provide harmony. Lalalalaaaaa...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I say the T in often.

Especially when it's followed by times.

Thank you, ita! I think I read (skimmed) every song on the filk page. Duh me.
