We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Speaking of retro girl hair, how did the pin-curls turn out Nutty?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hilarious. I had no idea what I was doing, and I looked like all the silly seterotypes of frizzy-curled 40s bimboes in the world. Then I wielded a hairbrush, and they sort of fell apart. Must use gel next time.

Nutty for next time .

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Nutty for next time .

I was picturing fingerwaves for pincurls, which gave me a very odd Nutty visual. I feel better now.

And also feel better to live in a time when I don't have to "do" my hair before I walk outside.

Yeah, but you love getting your hair washed. Women used to go to the salon every week, often twice.

Always Anti-fascist!

That, too. One of the many reasons Kay's my hero...she just washes her(admittedly amazing) hair and goes. And though her clothes look good on her, I'd never go crazy trying to duplicate the look.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

(Thanking Gaia for sexy husband of many years, who likes long hair but is perfectly willing to deal with wispy red flyaway shoulder-length.)

Why am I suddenly jonesing to read a mess of Conan Doyle? And no, nothing to do with hair. I just really want to reread all my Sherlock Holmes. Especially Baskervilles.
