The show itself is the dog - Faith would be like the girl who spies it on a walk (or drag) and sticks an Emily sticker on the harness.

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
You know, it's a little alarming that I can come up with a slashy rationale for that without even trying despite the fact that I'm not a slasher
Yeah, I call this slash corneal transplant. Once you've learned to look at things with slashy eye (purely by osmosis in my case, in I neither write or even read that much slash), it's difficult *not* to look at everything with slashy eye.
Plus, I love that the very first thing that Mr. Macho Soldier Jack does after being told he can do anything without consequences is... pottery. Wild, man!
Heh. Why do you think they had him kiss Sam afterward?
Actually, it was amusing to hear the commentary and learn that most of my favorite montage (from pottery to bicycle-riding, the golf game through the stargate to the theatrical kiss) was probably put in there probably because they needed filler, since the episode ran short.
Btw, is anyone else on the LJ community, Crack Van? I have been generally impressed with the fandom overviews (Shaye's Farscape overview and the XM comicverse overview were particular standouts), but the Stargate SG-1 one was frankly unimpressive. And the person doing the overview used that promo picture with everyone out of uniform and Carter leaning on Jack all girly and flirtatious and totally out of character, which annoyed me to no end. Bah. I do wish the folks doing these things would at least *try* to be unbiased, but that's just me.
Edited to fix the link.
I like a lot of the fandom overviews, but I have to say, I get the impression that the person who wrote the Buffy overview doesn't even LIKE the show, and maybe never did.
Actually the weekend syndication from the week before last was recored as "Redemption part 1" in my TiVo, but turned out to be the season 5 ender, "Revelation".
Yikes but it's not just syndication that gets screwed.
Sci-Fi did a frell-up last Monday (Sept 29) and showed Ep 5x22 "Revelations" before 5x21 "Meridian." Revelations deals with the aftermath of Meridian.
ETA: got it backwards. fixed
Huh - I'd heard that the episode was written specifically as a way to get the kiss. God only knows when it comes to SG fannish politics, though. I think some folks just make stuff up.

Ha! I saw that, and hand to God, my first thought was "oh, Vonnie would be pissed off that she used that picture. That's an OOC picture, dude! Teal'c never smiles like that!"
Shame, really. There was such opportunity for snark and love-sharing, and it was wasted. Oh well.
So far I've only looked at the CSI stuff on crack_van, since I can find most of the rest elsewhere.

You too? At least she hasn't liked it since season 3. Pffft.
And the SG-1 overviewer has too much slash-colored glasses on.
OTOH Shaye's overview was brilliant, as was the one someone did for H:LOTS.

Heh, predictable, am I not? Granted, everyone looks hella pretty, but that's not what the show is all about. OK, I guess for a lot of folks, that may be what the show's all about. I watch it for the snark and funky travel through the gate, and cool people blowing shit up. And sometimes for the angst.

You may be right. The director dude (and the special effect guy) doing the commentary mentioned the filler necessity during the montage, but the kiss was probably planned. I have a sneaking suspicion that the pottery stuff was probably added in though.
I read the FS one, and laughed my ass off (hell, I even was driven to comment). But mostly I'm scared of reading what'll piss me off.

t blink
Why do you say so?
