Prometheus Unbound has aired

Sweet. I've just come home, and Gemini is ready.

Never mind. It's at tvtorrents now. Although, yeah, apparently it'll take about 10 years, more or less, to download. Yet? I expect it to be worth the wait. Tee-hee!

Hmmm. Never mind again. I usually err on the side of spoiler policy caution, and I think I'll continue to do that. So, edited.

Ummm... so, are there new extras on the new Farscape DVD release? Are all the old ones still there?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just watched Prometheus Unbound. I was liking Aquarium better by episode 12. Two things I can't erase from my mind -- the idea that SG1 wouldn't have had the Prometheus nicked from under them, and WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FIGHT SCENE? Okay, it was no jazz hands, but it was pretty damned stupid.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I think it was supposed to be stupid, though. You know, the Stargate equivalent of Xander and Harmony's chickfight.

Basically, this was Stargate Does Farce. You've just gotta relax and go with it--okay, fine, she can take down the entire crew but not Daniel; okay, fine, the head of SG-3 is squeamish about mouth-to-mouth on a boy; okay, fine, Walter is, like, a systems expert on the Prometheus. Etc.

I laughed my head off. Plus, Daniel will get to lord it over the rest of the team about how he didn't fall for the cute babe in distress.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I won't have time to watch Prometheus Unbound until tonight. But I did watch Gemini, and I have only this to say: "Bastards! You killed Carter's Brain!" In other words, that was so incredibly stupid, I cannot fathom it. And the ending! Boo hoo, I screwed up because I taught Fifth about betrayal. No, you moron, you screwed up because you WERE STUPID. *goes for a stick to beat Carter with* Good god, the President should be seriously questioning Jack's capabilities at this point, and he would be right to do so. They just took a pretty good situation and made it much much MUCH worse. Not to mention screwing over all the other people in this galaxy who didn't have access to the disruptor weapon to begin with...
