You should catch up, Dana.

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Oh, the manifesto is brilliant! I agree, I concur, I wish I could be that funny about it.
Damn you people and your Spooks watching!!!!
Nos is deeply insane, but also very very very funny and insightful.
I still think the S/J ship is wacked, but I'll read good stories about it, the same way I'll read good J/D stories. I have nothing vested in either ship, actually. Which I find rather entertaining. I don't think the writers intended the slash ship to be as supportable as the het ship, but the het ship was done so badly it rather is...
I agree with the POV that the het ship has to be a trainwreck, and am grateful for it. I'd have previously put Mulder and Scully (were they ever Sculder? Mully?) in that category, but I realise that would have been sloppy.
S/J is wrong in the SG1 universe, and in meta. And because of the unsentimental tone of the show, we don't even have to think about it most of the time.
Quick techy question for I am too lazy to go to the Tech thread:
How many simultaneous torrents download can you reasonably have going at the same time? On the advice of several people, I downloaded the azureus client, which works like a beauty (except for those times when I have trouble finding the downloaded avi files on the hard drive without opening the client.) I have two files downloading (and two uploading) on a T1 line at work--I know, I know), but when I added the third one for download, it queued instead of starting. Does having more than one torrent up for downloading compromise the speed by much?
were they ever Sculder? Mully?
Thankfully, no. Not that I ever saw, anyway.
Vonnie, I think there's a setting in Azureus where you can tweak the maximum number of files that can be transmitted at once.
I find my Azureus doesn't actually delete the .torrent when I ask it to remove and delete. Otherwise it's brilliant.
were they ever Sculder? Mully?
Moose and Squirrel!
I find my Azureus doesn't actually delete the .torrent when I ask it to remove and delete.
Yeah, what the hell is up with that?
The weird thing is that the actual movie files I've downloaded is in this file called "Download" under "Azureus" under "Application Data", but when I try to get at it without opening the Azureus client, I can't find the damn file. Damnedest thing.
were they ever Sculder? Mully?
Never. Praise the Jeebuslug.
There is a character in Carnivale called Sculder, and every time I hear the name, I do a full-body shudder and light a candle in gratitude that the hideous pairing portmanteux phenomenon didn't get a chance to taint the show. (Well, there have been a bunch of other things that tainted the show, but I won't go into that bottomless pit of bitterness just now.)
