But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

You know, if you substitute "Peacekeeper" for "Mountie" a lot of the Due South plots still work....

Ooh. The Peacekeeper Musical Ride. I like.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

His Dad shows up a lot, too.

I feel the need to point out for those that may have missed it in the early summary that Dad is also dead...

It's a remora, dimwit.

Just like Lana's parents. Maybe there is some sort of connection....

Tssk! A PeacekeeperMountie doesn't let a little thing like death stop him from interfering in the life of his offspring!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Sheesh, for threads that were kinda quiet, we certainly talk a lot. It's like someone booked four fandoms into one room at a Con.

ETA: Not complaining, except for the fact I missed the opening and barely am getting in under 100.

Hi. I'm a fan of due South and Farscape. I watch Smallville when I can, because of the pretty factor, and for my love of the dysfunctional Luthor family.

Mmm... Lex.

Oh, come on! Granite-jawed!Jim is a freaking staple of the fandom.

What's wrong with the manly jaw-clench of manliness (that's not fooling anyone)?

And there were huge RayV vs RayK wars in the fandom, not unlike the Doggett Wars of XF seasons 8-9.

Dude. The Ray wars were, like...

Dude. It fractured the fandom in a way that's probably permanent. Insane flamewars erupted again and again, separate mailing lists were set up and TO THIS DAY you aren't allowed to post about the Wrong Ray. One True Ray (Vecchio) people sometimes refuse to acknowledge Kowalski's existence, and if they do, insist on calling him "Stan". (Which he doesn't go by.) The MRKS site you may see when cruising authors sites actually stands for Militant Ray Kowalski Separatists, okay? Death threats were allegedly sent to Callum Keith Rennie.

Bad behavior on all sides. I caught the tail end of it while hiding in a bunker. Rumor has it that people still avoid the fandom because they're afraid we're all psycho-nut-bitches.

In a startling subject change, new MI-5 tonight! Woot!

The end result of combining the threads is that you'll all end up Due South fans. Not necessarily of the slash... one of the virtues of DS is that it's not necessary to see/believe the slash in order to enjoy it -- it is quirky and characterful enough on its own merits.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, tried to post but it was taken away from me!

Did anyone here watch At Home with the Braithwaites last week? It's a new show on BBCA and it's about this woman who wins 38 million pounds in the lottery and hides it from her family.

The philandering husband is played by Peter Davison -- once a Doctor Who and also the Dish of the Day on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

New thread. Yay. I watch(ed) Highlander, Due South, Farscape, The Sentinel, and Smallville. I admit to liking RayV more but mostly because I thought the show was cancelled after season 2 and when I saw it on again I was extremely confused. Coming in again halfway through season 4 was not the way to go.
