No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

(I loved his horrible hair, but then again, I loved Michael's horrible hair on Nikita, so I may have a Michael-escape-clause in effect)

All is well that ends in pizza.

I kind of wanted Sydney and Weiss to get together. Forget "I'll mourn a little, meet and marry someone else I haven't even done a real background check ony" guy.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis have been renewed. No official casting information on SG-1 yet.

Overwhelming viewer demand? Really? Were people beating down their doors, demanding that we get another season of weak plots and not-enough-Jack?

Huh.

Well, the numbers have been pretty good. Taken from Gateworld:

For the first half of Season Eight, SG-1 averaged a 2.0 rating -- the series' best performance in its three-year history on SCI FI, and the highest average number of viewers in the show's history. At the mid-Season Seven break one year ago, the show was averaging less than a 1.7.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Sadly, those are better than the regular numbers Farscape was getting.

The renewal makes me happy. Wonder if RDA will stay. Unsurprised that Atlantis is renewed. Kind of surprised about SG-1, just because I figured they'd all feel done by now.

Word, Jen. Especially since 3 of the 4 core cast members have or will have children under the age of 3 in the house when they start shooting again.

I think they've done a much better job this season with the less Jack than before. Partly because of the promotion -- now it makes more sense.

I do sorely miss him on missions, but he's cute behind a desk too.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I actually saw an episode of SG-1 that I'd never seen before tonight. It was one that took place in Antarctica with a frozen girl who gave everyone a virus and then healed them. When they were first thawing her I thought she was Evangeline from Lost.
