I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.
Sumi, John can't do that -- Einstein pulled the wormhole knowledge out of his head. Either he told everyone that, to prevent them from hunting him down in the future, so they know there's no wormhole weapon, or he didn't tell them in order to keep the peace, so people will be trying to assassinate him from a distance. A wormhole weapon is no use against surprise attacks. He could also have told them and not been believed, of course.
ETA: Or people will try to kidnap the baby or Aeryn to blackmail John into using the weapons for them.
