Just watched Out of Their Minds last night. I think I might have burst something.
'Jaynestown'
Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
that is probably one of my very favorite episodes, Wolfram.
damn i'm excited about the mini tonight.

Me too. Except it'll probably sit on my ReplayTV until December when I finally finish the rest of the episodes. And can someone tell me where the guy who set the prices on the DVD sets gets his crack? Cause that's gotta be some powerful shit.

i'm still amazed at how quickly i watched all four seasons. i was done in less than a month. of course, i'm obsessive when it comes to good television. so that could have something to do with it.

agreed. that's why i'm continuing to scour ebay for cheaper sets.
I'ma be heading off in a little while, and unsubbing to this thread until I can get caught up and watch the mini-series.
Enjoy it a little extra for my delay, if that's possible.

Folks, the reason the dvd sets are so expensive is that they're made and distributed by a small anime house, ADV films, based in Houston. They don't have Fox or MGM's capital, and Farscape is not nearly as likely to become a huge huge seller as, say, the Buffy dvds were. Small cable show, smaller print runs, higher per-unit cost.
Please don't hammer ADV too much: they've been really supportive of the fan campaign, and donated a lot of sets at cost or for free for various charitable projects.
Thanks for the info 'Suela. It's just frustrating because I love the show but cannot afford to plunk down 500 bucks for four seasons on DVD.
I wonder if the DVD sets will drop significantly in price after the show goes back into production.

oh i'm not going to hammer them, but i'm also not going to pay $100+ for 22 episodes with some extras. it will be ebay(or maybe half.com) or nothin' for me.

what makes you think the show will be going back into production? i have a feeling this mini is going to be all she wrote.
