Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

There's a character in the new CSI spin-off that seems to be a shout-out to Due South.

The lead actress in the show is one who played Victoria Metcalfe. Her character's name?

Stella

Woe to the fucking wicked.

They have called it the fortress of solitude. It's on my mental list of Canon References.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh yeah, there was one good thing about Smallville: the shot of Jonathan abruptly waking up from his coma. That was a damn good edit.

OK, I just saw an ad for Laguna Beach on MTV. So we've got The O. C., North Shore, and this. Is it only a matter of time before they debut Hermosa Beach and Venice!?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, Laguna Beach is a reality show. Therefore completely different. Except not. North Shore is Hawaii, so it's like Hawaii. Summerland, OTOH, is a fictional place near Malibu, IIRC.

Art Crawl!!!

After they do all the West Coast and Hawaiian beaches, perhaps they'll start with the East Coast beaches. . . maybe some Puerto Rican beaches.

"Jersey Shore", "Indian River", "Maine Coast", "Nantucket", "Wood's Hole" -- that sort of thing.

I'm surprised that they haven't done any Floridian beaches yet -- then they could have exciting hurricane episodes.

I want to see Pensacola Nights with some third-rate WB reject actress screaming "The sand fleas! RUN!!!"

Except there is a real Summerland just north of Ventura and south of Santa Barbara.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wait -- is Playa Linda the fictional place, then?
