A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

You know, I have mountains of work on my desk, but I can't seem to think about anything but vids. Vids! So shiny! I love them so much!

t dissolves into excited fangirly heap

Some of the Premieres vids were *so good* though, if I were a budding baby vidder, they would have made me pack my gears up in despair because I was just never going to be that good. Not to say there weren't some clunkers on that show, mind you. Oy.

Several of the premiere vids are now online for those who may want to check them out. Gwyneth's gorgeous Wes/Lilah vid, Valentine Heart, Here's Luck's Wonderfalls vid, Window of Opportunity that will make you walk around with a stupid grin on your face for the entire day, sisabet's Angel vids, Two Words, Laura & Killa's Scully vid Not Only Human, MorganDawn's Jeremiah vid, Pipsqueak's Willow vid Ordinary (awww), and Destina's "Did You", linked above. Several of the vid sites are password-protected, but they are so, so worth the trouble.

Vid-recs are tricksy business. I want to spread the love, but I also want to be careful not to post them in too conspicious a place, you know? For example, I feel OK putting up the links here for now because this thread has fairly low traffic, but I would feel uncomfortable putting up the link to the Wonderfalls vid at the Minearverse thread, given its higher traffic and occasional visits from TPTB. (Although my guess is that Tim probably would be delighted, not dismayed.)

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Man, I just saw Laura and Killa's Scully vid. So fabulous.

Isn't it? I need to DL it so I can see it again. Pretty much all I remember about it now is that my reaction to it was something like "Oh! Oh oh oh! Scully! I love it so much!"

Fun with Stargate casting spoilers: Isaac Hayes will appear in three episodes in late S8. Man, the South Park jokes just write themselves.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

See, Katie, my thought was:

Shut your mouth!

I expect he would be.

I spent a while last night downloading vids but there are a number I have yet to locate, and I'm very disappointed the Joan vid everyone's talking about isn't available online.

DVDs, yes. All my problems will be over if I can just wait for the dvds.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It probably will be, since Seah and Margie put their vids online.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

But I want to watch it again *right now*! Wahhh! At the moment, I'd settle for the song by itself, but Jessica in Vid Review said the version used for this vid wasn't even available for purchase. I've listened to the version that got released (it's availble online) and Jessica was right--the one Seah and Margie chose was yards better. Plus, the official one doesn't even have the ooo-ah seeera intro at the beginning! Feh.

I'm building a big red boat
Building a big red boat
With full intention to set sail

The song has been stuck in my brain for several days now, but hey, I don't even mind. That was probably my favorite vid of the Con--and I say this fully realizing that there were objectively better vids, with superior techniques and thematic intricacy, but nothing made me as happy as "Big Red Boat", you know? Sigh.
