Okay, didn't Dr. Lee start out as an archeologist ? I find it particularly annoying for Stargate to do TV science since it has actual specialized scientists . Hmph.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
Two points stick with me. Well, three, but the third one's mostly "Don't kill my woobie again!!!!" and then there are some strangled gasps. Took a lot of work to get it down to third, too.
The other two are -- Sam sure had a weird hand switch on her gun in one of her early game appearances. Lovely forearms, clumsy weaponwork. Made me sad.
AND, Sam and Daniel had some great head-tilting going on there when Teal'c was puzzling them in game. Sweet.
I spent a fair amount of time at the end yelling "Shoot them both!" but in retrospect that wouldn't have worked if you weren't sure it was Sam, and she was needed to disarm the generator.
Love, love, loved Teal'c and his desperation. Also the SGoneness of it all.
