Can't you ever get your mind out of the hellmouth?

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Thrive to spite them

I finally saw both episodes of Stargate.

I was kind of bored with the stargate episode....except for Jack.

I decided I like ...the main guy Thelosan better than whats her name. And I really want the security guy to die. He's annoying. I think they should use him for Wraith bait.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hate watching Shades Of Grey. Not because I think it's a bad episode -- quite the opposite. Because I think it's the saddest. I buy Jack, and I hate that.

I despise the "we couldn't tell you the truth because we needed your reactions to be realistic" mechanism. Except when it's really painful and protracted like this, I guess.

Hate watching it, but I do, every time.

I also love Jack asking Maybourne to cut the melodrama, while the most operatic and swelling angst music I've heard on the show is playing over them.

Art Crawl!!!

Ooh, Smallville spoiler from Comics Continuum:

SMALLVILLE UPDATE A version of The Flash will be appearing this season on The WB's Smallville.

Smallville executive producer Al Gough told The Continuum that Bart Allen will be appearing in the fifth episode of the fourth season.

Steve DeKnight is writing the episode, which will likely air during the November sweeps.

That's...odd.

Art Crawl!!!

Which Flash is Bart? Is he the one in Teen Titans? So very much out of his time-frame? It should be Barry, right?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

It should *at least* be Wally. Maybe it is Barry, but since Barry's kind of a dorky name they're just calling him Bart? No, wait, Bart's kind of a dorky name too .

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Here's the Claudia Black interview. (A truly Boxed Set-worthy article, as it mentions Farscape and Stargate.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Except that Barry didn't have superpowers as a teenager. Not that Smallville has anything at all to do with canon.

Oh, yes. Love that.

I agree that the "we didn't tell you" reasoning doesn't work except for the fact that Thor demanded no one else know. ita, there's a great story by Anna S. called "Out of Season" that takes Jack from his return from Endora through to after "Shades of Grey". J/D, but not easily, which is the best way, I feel. *g*

I'm thinking I've read that one. Or maybe I'm conflating it with one where they come back from the planet with the lightshow, and that's also very painful. I should check.

Shades Of Grey is just where the pain lives for me. Only thing that touches it is Fraiser's choked "Colonel?" as Daniel ascends.
