A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I have a plan.

I loved3 the new ep. Though, it looks like the days of casually dialing out for a Tolan pizza are gone now. What with everybody wanting a piece of the Stargate pie.

Is this the first time we've heard the goa'uld talk about honor and shame? I thought they were psychotics, all about power -- why do they care about reputation?

I'm sure it's come up a few times over the course of the show's run. I like think of it as street cred or perhaps more appropriately, system cred.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Also? Even Daniel stated what they perceived about the Goa'ulds earlier in the episode. This honor is a new kettle of fish.

I'm thinking that as the less honorable and egomaniac Goa'ulds kill each other off, the more rational ones are slowly moving into the power vacuums. This would explain the interoduction of the more reasonable ones like Yu, and the defection/offer of Nietzschean!Goa'uld.

We have seen that the species are capable of change, as the Tokra do exist. Perhaps the message is getting through to the rest.

"The what?"

And I really want that clip of Daniel's reaction shot.

Not a clip, but I have a screencap...

Art Crawl!!!

SG-1's premiere broke all sorts of SciFi Channel viewing records.

Note a spoilery headline (spoilery for Smallville) in the list of stories below this story.

If you want to read the spoilery story find it here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sweet SG1 stuff.

About Smallville I think "Ha!" and then I think "Ick!"

Ah, well.

I shall instead ponder the marvel that is the expressiveness of RDA's hands. He acts all the way down to his fingertips.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that TW can't do light comedy stuff but maybe I'm wrong.

Mmmmm.

::blinks:: Where was I?

ita, did you see Salieri's LJ post a week or so back, with the picture of Jack and the long discussion about why it was Jack and not RDA? She spends quite a while talking about his hands...

Lovely picture, too.

Ah, here it is.

Jack’s leather jacket--the long one, not the bomber--is just outside the frame, draped over the back of a chair. The paint is peeling off of the chair and little flakes of it will stick to the leather. When he puts the jacket on, he’ll swipe at the paint chips and they’ll stick to his fingers. He’ll wipe his hands on his trousers and the paint chips will stick to them, then to his hands again and so on. He’ll be making Homer Simpson sounds and it will be so endearingly silly we’ll be smiling way too big and making silent idiots of ourselves.

Heee.

That post was beautiful.

Sometimes, when I'm watching an episode that I know by heart and like I'll just look at his hands. He never forgets them. I remember reading somewhere that he was the only one that saluted properly, and it doesn't surprise me at all.

That post was beautiful.

Yeah, that post and the associated picture were the inspiration for my story "Tuscany". Salieri is so unfathomably talented. Sigh.

I appear to be successfully pimping Farscape to her. She likes Zhaan so far, and I've refrained from telling her what happens. Heh.
