Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'd rather have Harvey than Scorpy. He's a bit more wacked.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

McKay was in 48 Hours in season 5 and Redemption I & II in season 6 (according to IMDB, for I am too lazy to search any other way at the moment).

He called Sam a dumb blonde. We ain't friends. I'm going to try to forget that for the purposes of Atlantis, though, because I think he's likely to be entertaining.

I have no idea why they switched Weirs, actually. I liked Steen in the role last year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe she wasn't looking for a Vancouver regular gig.

Dunno.

I can't believe nobody has an answer to this. Of course, I'm too lazy to go poke around on Gateworld for it. But then Gateworld is chock full o' spoilers, so.

Man, this board has ruined me for spoiler protection. Gateworld is all, la la la here's the entire plotline for the first six episodes, and here's all the pictures on the front page! Yoiks.

I've literally seen nothing solid. I know it was presented as a will-jump-to-full-time-position-on-Atlantis part when Steen was cast. Something changed, and I have a vague memory that it sounded like it came from the production side rather than the actress', but I know it was very unspecific--blah blah role will be recast, announced by the actress on her website. And that's it.

Scouting around somewhere I found that it was production's choice -- it's supposed to be from her official site, but I haven't found it there yet.

Huh. I wonder why: I liked Jessica Steen a lot. Ah, well, maybe there were personality conflicts or something.

Too bad.

I liked her too -- she's in way too little stuff.

I like Ms. Higginson too, but the last time I saw her onscreen she was having sex with Adam Beach, so there's a bit of resentment there.

Katie has reminded me: there's a rumor circulating that Sci-Fi will air a commercial for the Farscape miniseries, The Peacekeeper Wars, tonight during the Stargate SG-1 premiere.

Additionally, we appear to have an air date: October 17/18. Mark your calendars.
