RIO! How's the job?
And congratulations, Jon! 20 years! Wow.
do you feel old?
The job is tolerable and occasionally fun and occasionally infuriating. How are you doing, 'suela?
Um, okay. I have to mail things today. And make up a presentation for a meeting I'm not sure I have to go to on Tuesday. But it will have pretty pictures of the ocean and stuff. I hope.
My life is much with the boring.
Mailing things is fun. I never have time to do that anymore.
do you feel old?
Yes, but only in an I-can't-believe-it's-been-20-years way. I still feel physically young and I still regularly get excited by a new song or a new sound.
Last night I watched the end of disc 4 of Sports Night. I was only going to watch the last half of Sam's first episode and the next episode and then do something else.
But I couldn't stop watching, I was so compelled to watch them. I have to wait until Netflix sends me the rest. I'm buying the dvds as soon as I can.
Vonnie! That two-part Garak and Odo episode is on *right now*.
I know! I couldn't wait so I Netflixed the eps, but I'm also recording them with TiVo so that I could save them for posterity.
I think this two parter may be my favorite DS9 episodes thus far, over even "Duet" and "Necessary Evil". What complex, wonderful, flawed characters. I damn near cried at the end of "The Die Is Cast".
I love love love the relationship between Garak and Odo. Paid attention to some of the directing choices too. Some of them were too flashy, I thought, but some of them were really nice, especially the last scene in Garak's shop.
Vonnie, if you love Garak, I'd recommend A Stitch in Time, if I haven't already. Andrew Robinson actually wrote it (at least there's no obvious ghostwriter), and it's a great backstory for the character.
