It was something about how women would have one particular best friend for long periods, and that men were more likely to have a set of closer friends, with more variation over time.
Like I said, very generalized and of course not to be relied upon as evidence of much of anything in any particular situation.
And now I kinda wish I hadn't mentioned it.
And now I kinda wish I hadn't mentioned it.
Nah. It's just something that never occurred me.
I have two best friends, so I guess the close friends thing holds, but I've known both for a very long time.
Yahtzee's Joan of Arcadia story was also good, though not, you know, happy.
Oh, man! She made me cry! At work! Damn her talented eyes.
Her God even sounds like the God avatars we encounter on the show. Good character voices, too.
For those who may want to give it a gander, here it is: Goodnight, Moon.
Don't think I've read Ness yet.
Ness keeps moving her site, and she has all these frames in her fic site which drive the reccers nuts. Anyway, looks like
this is where she is at the moment. Of her fic, I like "Sense Of" particularly well, because it's disorienting and hella weird. Some of her stuff is kinda fluffy, so as an author-rec, it's a qualified one.
Oh, Sense Of -- yeah, I read that one. Quite unsettling. But you're right, a lot of the rest are too fluffy for me. Ah, well.
Thanks for the link, though.
Doctor Troi on tonight's Star Gate:
The nerve gas evaporates after three hours.
So, you're saying the nerve gas changes to a gas? That'll be safe...
Sigh.
Okay, when did Dylan Hunt become the Messiah?
When Hewitt Wolfe got canned?
I take it you just watched the season finale. I slept through much of it, but retained "Oh. So it's official. He is god. Huh."
Well, it's not over yet, but yeah.
That could be the worst series finale EVER!
That could be the worst series finale EVER!
I don't think they knew they were cancelled at the time ... but damn, it's a sucky-assed season finale anyway.
