That's exactly what I said when the folks I was watching with were all "Chloe is so dead." She'll be back. And somehow, I bet she comes back as Lois Lane. Don't ask me how - I'm not spoiled for anything other than the producers wanted to bring Lois in in the fourth season.
See - this is why I keep watching Smallville - it can be decent. The last five minutes of this ep was great.
Also we never actually saw Lana get on the plane. Believe me, I want her to be gone, but she might have never left.
Hurrah. I just read on Whedonesque that DeKnight is going to write for Smallville next season.
Now all I need is to find out Ultimate Drew is writing for the O.C. and I won't be 100% depressed about the lack of good tv for the forseeable future.
Wow, loved the last five minutes there. Absolutely a Godfather homage.
I love Lex so hard. Except- not the Noguchi table! Noooooooo!
ETA: not really a DeKnight fan. Man has written some truly bad television. Yeeuuch.

Holy shit? Fucking seriously? Dude. Okay, maybe I'll keep watching, then. The show's already got an ME alum in Drew Z. Greenberg, but I don't recall liking his episodes much. (Well, huh, he did write "Truth," which was one of the best Smallville episodes this season. But his Buffy stuff wasn't great.)

Not a "Spiral" fan? Heh. Well, he did write "Dead Things," which I decided was one of the best S6 eps, and he wrote a lot of S4 Angel, which I loved.

I heard he was going to Alias. Just a rumor, though.
I expect next fall's Smallville to come up with "Five years later..."

Aahhhh! Nooooo! His humor will so be totally lost on that show. I like Alias OK - but it's not a good fit for him I don't think. And they already get Jeff Bell.
I am not a huge fan of DeKnight's eps, but Smallville needs ALL the help it can get. He may not have written the best episodes, but at least he has absorbed the atmospheres of two excellent shows.
I love Lex so hard.
You and me both. The look on his face when he was talking to Lionel in his cell. And the string quartet line? MR is so good with the defiance and hurt and the "I just wanted you to love me, you bastard."
Fury posted the news about Steve DeKnight joining Smallville and he also posted that Goddard will be joining Alias, so if one is true then the rumour (re:Drew on Alias) must be true as well right?
I like DeKnight (would have preferred if he & Drew stuck together somewhere) but I'm looking forward to seeing Steve's Smallville.

My sentiments exactly. I haven't really paid any attention to Alias, but with Goddard joining the crew methinks I need to catch up on all that is Alias.
I woulda loved seeing Goddard's humor on the OC, but at least he can keep up with the Alias mythology. Not that that's exactly, you know, necessary.
Well, looking back at DeKnight's Angel eps, I have a little hope that it'll be a more dark Lex-centric show. That would rule. Where is our Luthor spinoff?!
You know what I'd love to see? Jane on the The OC's spinoff (which I know nothing else about except that it will exist). But never gonna happen.
