A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My other issue with Enterprise (okay, one of my issues) is that it's actually not that bad a show. No worse than Andromeda or Mutant X. But it's not really a Trek show. And T'Pol is not a freaking Vulcan. I have a hard time enjoying anything they're doing with her character because they keep stomping all over canon.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You know how you have a button? Like Allyson's head explodes when you reach for a reset button, no matter how much flourish you hit it with?

I am realising this is me and language. Except in The 13th Warrior. That just makes me laugh.

No worse than Andromeda? Could you set a lower bar?

Oh, sure. Tracker comes to mind.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

The microbes fail for me because they still use alien words for which there seems to be a direct English equivalent (Trek does this too, all the freaking time).

This has now twice made it into faculty summaries I'm typing up. I'm tempted to leave it, just to see if anyone reads the damn things.

Absolutely get the button thing. I'm sure I have some. Haven't seen 13th Warrior, but it's probably in the Netflix queue.

Heh. Emily funny.

I knew you'd say that, but I already had two posts in a row, and I didn't want to triple-cereal calling you out.

But now I have to admit that I think Andromeda is worse.

I'm tempted to leave it, just to see if anyone reads the damn things.

Dare you.

Worse than Adrian Paul trying to play a mysterious alien and ending up looking like someone mentally deficient? I have a hard time believing that.

See, Andromeda has previously interesting characters competing to see whose tongue can go the furthest up Dylan's (and by transparent extrapolation, Sorbo's) rectum. I can't say as I've seen comparable onscreen ego-gymnastics, ever.

Plus, it's nigh incomprehensible. I think that a worse crime than too simple.

Art Crawl!!!

Tracker was just bad -- Andromeda started out interesting and then fell apart.
