"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Incidentally, MS and TR were putting in subtext for fun on purpose.

Cool. How do you know this?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Here you go.

I know this is silly, but I'm vaguely unnerved at the idea that they read the fanfiction enough to notice the trends.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ah! Have watched Bed and Airhead.

I find it so hard to reach back and remember the throes of my Spike-adoration, but even though Jack's diluted these days, the love is still strong.

Airhead is great fun, and Bed is more than hysterical.

I love about Jack that he's impatient, pragmatic, irreverent except when it counts, uninterested in details, loyal, trustworthy and willing to kill at the drop of a dime. He has no interest in knowledge for knowledge's sake, but when push comes to shove he exercise his brain (Window Of Opportunity) as much as the next person -- I mean, if Sam or Daniel isn't around to do the work.

Half the eye rolls at him come with smiles, and few of them come with compromised trust.

It is beauty.

Plus the ubiqui-chemistry thing don't hurt.

The funny thing to me about that one is that Jack is, on the show, not actually so much of the slut. I mean, he has two offworld love interests in seven years, and his thing with Carter, and his feelings for his ex-wife.

And don't forget Harry. (What?)

Enjoyed IBS. Interjection! on the TriptychVid site made me laugh (Apophis's cameo was perfect), but that's mostly because I'm a Schoolhouse Rock ho. Wow, those words don't belong together. And Unpack Your Adjectives had some great matches to the lyrics, too (taller/smaller, tallest/smallest).

Word on the ubiqui-chemistry.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I dearly want to watch these vids, but I am on a Mac laptop and I am not sure how to download, etc. Grr. Does anyone know how to get wmv files to play on a Mac?

The idea of vids set to Schoolhouse Rock tunes makes me very happy indeed.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

You can download Windows Media Player for the Mac at download.com.

No problem.
