Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

There's a great one by Carol S. called "Shooting Cupid", which is all about Carter's crappy love life.

Everyone together now: Poor Martouf!

Oh, wait...

Her Sam vid to Passionate Kisses is actually one of the few times I've ever thought "aw, yeah, Sam should totally get together with Jack!" Poor Sam, with the dead boyfriends. She deserves some good sex.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

up to the Thanksgiving episode with the ghost and the turkey.

Thespis! I love Thespis.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Thespis is a GREAT episode.

I love Sports Night.

I have Batgirl Year One, Batman Year One (I bought that yesterday) and another Batgirl graphic novel but I forget which one. I bought the current Batgirl comic and several back issues and I wanted to buy the current Batman but there were several different...lines...not just Batman but stuff with different subtitles and I wasn't sure what I should get.

Hmm. I'd probably settle in and get comfy with the back story before dropping in to any of the main lines. Of course, that's probably because things are really screwy right now. E me, and I'll go more in depth.

Dear god, woman ... never attempt this with Stargate. Never. That way lies madness.

Word! Love 'em. Well, OK. Love the one CD I have of theirs, on which this song resides.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Thespis! Oh! That Thanksgiving episode! Yes. very good.

And, 15 minutes in, this week's ep of GG has what looks like a riff on the "You're wearing my shirt" bit, only less good.

I saw Poolhall Junkies this weekend. Someday, I think maybe Michael Rosenbaum will get to work with a script that actually sounds right coming out of his mouth.

I've got one of their LPs. Smart lyrics and great pop hooks.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

And the main question I had for myself was---why the hell didn't I watch this when it was on and why did I wait so long to watch the dvds! The show is just so....

Okay. I watched occasionally during the second year it was on. But this sentiment, Askye, is so what I said to myself. Then I made Lori watch it too.

I love the dialouge and the characters and omigod! Danny and Casey or so a couple. And I have a slight little crush on Jeremy.

I know! Jeremy is very crushworthy.

Katie! OMG!

I saw the still shot with Jack and Thor! It's at the end of Carol S.' vid to "Something to Talk About"!

I was screaming with laughter.

I so have to see the episodes where the Asgard are introduced. Too frelling funny.

See? See? What did I say? Intergalactic wedding portrait!

Intergalactic wedding portrait!

Crazy talk.

And I edited my message above to include the quote I was responding to ... which is that trying to make sense of Stargate is a path to madness. Because I looked a little crazy myself responding to nothing.
