I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Is that the Jake ep?

And don't forget "Far Beyond the Stars."

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Is that the Jake ep?

Yup.

And don't forget "Far Beyond the Stars."

Absolutely brilliant. One of the things I liked about the last season was (whitefonted for those who haven't seen it) was the way they returned to the idea that the Trekverse was a figment of Benny Russell's imagination. That was a nice use of continuity.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

There were so many good eps.

The one with Sisko where he agrees to Garek sabotaging a Romulan ship to get them involved in the war

As has already been mentioned, the Harris Yulin ep and the Dax ep with the old-time Klingons going into battle together were both stellar.

I'm glad I have close friends who ponied up for the discs so that I can watch. I've missed it more than I thought I would.

One of the things I liked about the last season

Nothing quite offset the loss of Jadzia though. While I came to like the actress well enough, and some of her charcter arc, if they had to replace Terry Ferrell, they should have brought Dax back as a man, and not as Ally McTrill.

The one with Sisko

Oh, *yeah*. Although anything with Garak, and I'm there.

How about the two parter where the Founders lure the Tal Shiar and the Obsidian Order into a trap and basically destroy them? Where Garak tortures Odo? So good.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

My viewing may have been colored by the fact that I read a story called Reveille yesterday, which Vonnie recced, which was both hot and believable Daniel/Jack.

HA! I pimp, therefore I am. Uh, wait... that didn't come out right.

Shalott is the same freakishly talented gal who wrote the mind-bendingly genderfucked Master and Commander fic, you know, the one in which Aubrey turns into a woman? She also vids like a dream--the Silence of the Lambs vid on the Vividcon disc set to Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited", that was shalott too, IIRC.

Aw. It's so sweet of everybody to whitefont the DS9 stuff for me. It's a lovely gesture, but you don't have to feel obliged to do so on my behalf. Starting this late in the game, I'm at peace with being spoiled for latter season plotty points.

The thing is, SpikeTV's DS9 airing schedule is on crack. I checked my TiVo queue last night, and over the next week, it's set to record ep 4 from season 1, an arc-y two-parter from S2 ("Marquis", which I'd skipped during the marathon), and something from the mid S3. The hell? What do they have against airing the episodes in order, for Chrissakes? I may just have to Netflix the rest of the seasons. Bah.

Also, SpikeTV's site? As far as I can figure? Doesn't actually tell you what eps they're airing. I keep having to check other schedules.

If you want to know if an ep is worth catching, you can always give a yell.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I read a story called Reveille yesterday, which Vonnie recced, which was both hot and believable Daniel/Jack. Mmmm, the fabulous "aliens made us have sex!" trope.

That is my favorite Stargate story ever. Absolutely. Best story ever.

It's hot and sweet and believable and has good voices. I was very pleased. May need to read it again.
