I have this whole theory worked out where Helen, on the road to Metropolis, was taken over by some evil-mind control type person, possibly Lionel or Jor-El (who's motivation would be that he thought Lex was turning Clark to the dark-hey-let's-blow-up-a-space-ship-side) and a helicopter (possibly Lionel's) will come and rescue her from the plane crash,
t mild spoilers ahead, with large dose of silliness
leaving Lex alone to become attractively bitter on his desert island, only he'll be resuced by Clark in a colourful, big, and very gay dramatic rescue scene, involving wet t-shirt wearing and many super-strength special effects, and then they'll go back to Metropolis together and have lots of fun wild nights out on the town-- in the process of which they discover pink kryptonite, which you can all make your own intelligent guesses about (or read practically any piece of Clex NC-17 fanfic for ideas).
Only, like so many of the things I really want to see on Smallville, it's sadly unlikely to happen.
Helen - just imagine what it's like for Dawn when she reads the Buffy discussions.
Ouch! I don't think we have any Rileys or Bens amongst active posters, do we? (Which may not be a coincidence...)

BWAH! It takes some getting used to. I've hated my name for so long that the whine and "getout, GetOut, GETOUT" just added to it.
Hee. From a Q&A with Michael Shanks. (Beware SG-1 S7 spoilers, if you follow the link.)
Q: I was wondering, after seeing Menace where you get attached to a robot, and the fact that you just got married to a robot... Do you have this thing about robots?
A: [laughs] Yes. I have every episode of Dr. Who.
Dude, I so do not need to hear about anyone's Dalek fetish.
Obviously catching up on SG stuff - here's another shot from the second half of the Evolution two-parter. Well, behind-the-scenes, I suppose. Did Michael Shanks always have those arms? Good Lord.
Oh, damn. Just--dayum.
And no, Michael didn't always have those arms. But I sure am glad he does have them now.
