I have a plan.

I think comicLex doesn't know, though he's probably come close to discovering it a few times. It seems to be a thing, with some writers, that comicLex only refers to Superman as 'the alien'.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ita, I really like your scenario. The course of events is inevitable, but Lex's trust will be shattered. It leads to a medium-speed development from learning about Clark--> questioning their relationship--> questioning all his relationships--> becoming distrustful, unethical, and finally, evil.

This show isn't really set up for that kind of slow unraveling, unfortch. I'd like to see this happen ASAP, at the end of the season, and have all next season be maybe a little like this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't trust them to keep Lex compelling once he's started rounding that corner, though.

I trust MR to do a hell of a lot, but he's been given short shrift (if only it were our shrift, and then he'd not complain) so far this season.

And having Lex evil means that Clark will probably end up spending less time with him and more time with Lana, and no one likes that possibility.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Link gacked from the LJ Flist: Guess the Dictator or Television Sitcom Character. It says sitcom, but the database seems to have pretty much every major character on every TV series under the sun (including Firefly, Farscape, SG-1, and a bunch of newer shows which you wouln't think it would have.) It's a wicked time-suck. I've only fooled it twice out of a dozen tries.

Comic Lex doesn't know, as far as I can recall, that Clark Kent is Superman. He also doesn't know that Bruce Wayne is Batman, although he knows there's a connection, which he exploits ruthlessly in the Bruce Wayne: Murderer/Fugitive arc.

Interestingly, I'm pretty sure there's going to be a new comic soon called "Lex Luthor: Man of Steel" where Lex is the good guy, and Supes is evil.

I trust MR to do a hell of a lot, but he's been given short shrift (if only it were our shrift, and then he'd not complain) so far this season.

Mwahahaha!

Ahem. I'd love to speculate on that, but I haven't even seen all of season two, at this point. But even in season one, Lex was willing to kill to protect Clark, and he continues to use questionable ethics in that pursuit.

I guess for me to be emotionally satisfied, it'll all hinge on Clark. I'd like to see them get cozy again before that last, best betrayal that won't allow Lex to trust anyone ever again.

Hmm. I seem to be in the mood for pain. Definitely Monday.

Me too. I also think I'd like to see Lex take out Lionel at some point, but I have my reservations about that one. Mainly that I'm not willing to lose Lionel. Most of my favorite Lex moments come from scenes where he is playing off of his father and I'd miss it horribly. Plus, I just don't have the faith that they'll know what to do with Lex if Lionel was not around to help propel his storylines. I fear he'd just hang around without any purpose. Or - even worse - they'd think throwing him headfirst into some storyline with Lana would be the way to fill the hole.

C'mon people, on this show things like inhaling radioactive meteor vapor as a steroid substitute happen. My money's on Lionel finding out he's dying and having his brain transplanted into Lex's body.

edit: Ha! Fooled the dictator/sitcom character engine on my first try.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

My money's on Lionel finding out he's dying and having his brain transplanted into Lex's body.

That could work. Or, he could transplant his brain into a Lex clone--that way Clark could still have the real Lex.

But then he'd have to do creepy inappropriate touching of himself and --

Wait. Suddenly, I'm not seeing the bad...
