Maybe I've always been here.

Early ,'Objects In Space'

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

OTOH? President dies sometime next year and Hammond is suddenly POTUS? Gold.

Ya mean, when whoever was backing Kinsey has him killed?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmmm, maybe he'll take Hammond's place at the SGC, instead....

So not where my mind was going.

And I don't think being retired necessarily helps with that.

Lord, let them not take him out of the field.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Couldn't see Hammond as VP. I'm sure he's got the political skills necessary for his position, but the VP's really a political player, right? Don't think Hammond would want it or would be happy with it.

All is well that ends in pizza.

And I don't think being retired necessarily helps with that.

Not unless they have a civilian agency running it, hopefully not the NID...

And? Jack would always find a reason to be going into the field, anyway... Plus? Jack+Sam would be semi-acceptable.

Wow, it's like a fanfic train wreck in my head.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So I just saw Nerve/The Hidden Memory. DAMN, that's some good TV. Sad about Gilina - given how things turned out I would definitely traded Stark to keep her around.

Also sad in that Stark did seem to have loads of potential. It's a shame that he never really had a character that went beyond what we saw here.

Heh. That's our Froon.

Man needs a job. You'd think there'd be someone out there in Hollywood who needs a twisted genius. Sigh.

Frank, you know about The Snurchers' Guide, right? They have chat transcripts with discussions of particular episodes with the cast and writers.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

When did Jack retire? or are we talking about Hammond?

I totally thought Bra'tac was a goner. Then I was sure the Prometheus was going to go down in glory. Makes me a little bitter about Janet Frasier. She's still dead.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

When did Jack retire? or are we talking about Hammond?

He didn't. (Well, he did a couple of times before the beginning of the series, and then he fake-retired in Shades of Grey, but...) When Sam told him she'd been authorized to take command of the Lost City mission when necessary he said "I resign," but I don't think that counts as retiring as such - I just read it as "fine, it's yours, I'm not going to make you make that determination."

Not as such, but I think I'd last seen "Window Of Opportunity" too recently. His resignation was on my mind.

Art Crawl!!!

I totally thought Hammond was going to be the Veep too.
