Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Daniel got a bit shafted, I must say. He was the Walking Translation Guy for most of the episode. I kept waiting for him to have a quiet moment with Jack as Sam and Teal'c had, and was disappointed when there wasn't one.

I thought so too, but I'm a little bit biased.

I'm pretty sure that scene where Daniel talks about having been willing to take the download was supposed to be his one-on-one scene with Jack

This is what I figured, when I thought about it. Not quite the same level as the "we don't need to express our feelings out loud" thing the other two got. But, so long as Daniel's not dead, I'm still pretty happy.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm still expecting Boba Fett to cart Jack away....

I have a plan.

"Too much?"

Such a nice episode.

I wonder though: does the general population still not know about the invasion? Or was it still just 'a meteor shower?' Because that must have looked like one helluva shower.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Well, most of the action close to Earth took place in or over Antarctica, so there aren't a lot of potential witnesses.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, I kinda liked that. The shoulder squeeze was golden, the cavalry is always appreciated, and "That's SG-1" is going to make me miss Hammond so terribly much.

miss Hammond so terribly much.

Is he gone, gone? Or, might there be special appearances? I am sad. I adore DSD. Losing Fraser and Hammond. Sucks.

I thought the ship was going to blow, and we were going to lose chevron guy too.

Whew.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

JenP: He's not going to be a regular next year. Whether he might make a guest appearance or two I don't know; it seems likely to me that he'd be in the season opener at least, but I haven't read anything one way or another.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Well, I thought the implication from Hammond's talk with President Hayes was that Hammond would become the vice president now that Kinsey'd got his weaselly ass fired. I fully expect to see Hayes from time to time in S8; ditto Hammond.

I totally bought both the Bra'tac and Hammond death fake-outs. They did good job selling the urgency of those moments. (Or I'm really naive.)
