Art Crawl!!!

Well, Jordon is only on this Friday (some special thing were NBC ran it last Friday and this Friday in addition to it's regular Sunday spot.)

I'd forgotten that there was no new Joan!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It's very possible they made a continuity flub when they put the scenes together.

or the "continuity flub" was the point. In the original testimony Sam was on the floor when the field went down, in the final testimony Sam was facing Jack after he yelled "No!"

Which means we got "doctored footage" in Upgrades, really. Heh. This could get very meta, and I'm sure there's a long string of Usenet or mailing list posts about this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Torri's really gorgeous, but in an understated way, I feel. And she has a lovely smokey voice.

I can't imagine her with the same gravitas as Jessica Steen, but I really can't imagine Jessica Steen on an SG team.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Why is G'Kar (from Babylon 5) on TheWoobie list? I've only watched B5 sporadically, but isn't G'Kar like, the epitome of dignified WarriorDude/WarriorPoet with a touch of "You killed my father! Prepare to die!"? I mean, he'd probably either look at you disdainfully or spit in your eye if you offered him comfort sex.

I didn't put him there, but I wasn't shocked to see him there.

This could be as a result of the G'Kar Woobie icon I made at some point for amych.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Jessica Steen was excellent, but I thought she looked too much like Sam.

Well, but Sam's not going to be on Atlantis, so presumably there wouldn't be a confusion problem. Oh well.

They already have a Teal'c-alike. To now have a Daniel in Sam's body (NO PORN -- they're the verboten pairing) would be weird too.

Man, you're no fun.

My understanding is the Weir character is going to be the Hammond equivalent - she's not going to go running around on missions so much. Could be wrong, though.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

To now have a Daniel in Sam's body

Heh. I didn't think of it that way, but Dr. Weir's role does overlap with the function Daniel serve most of the time, doesn't it?

Jessica Steen had a commanding presence, which was the thing I liked most about the actress. You could believe her as a leader. I'll have to wait and see how the new Dr. Weir measures up. I'm a bit wary about Sheppard though, who sounds like a weirdo mixture of Jack and Sam.

It's a very slow-burning, barely-there kind of relationship, but still substantial enough to be a source of annoyance to the slashers and too puny to be of much satisfaction to the shippers. Personally, I really like the way they have handled that aspect of the show.

ITA. Other shows should take lessons.

I also like where they are now, with Sam deciding to move past it, dating, and it obviously not really having been left behind, as such.

I mean, she's getting laid, so that's a plus, but they still have the same stuff between them.

But she doesn't look like she's being a dick with Pete (or whatever his name is), and she seems to be happy with him.
