Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

And I want the leather pants back.

Heh. So does his wife.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Shrift, I'm in pretty much the same place re: the Batverse. I was at the comic book store on Wednesday, and they had the whole current run of Teen Titans, and I was SO TEMPTED. Fortunately, I didn't have enough money for them, and left with only 1602, Y: The Last Man, and Tales of the Vampires.

Yeah, I'm not getting sucked into comics *at all.*

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The current Teen Titans rocks. Not as hard as the old Perez days (Terra was the bomb), but it's been pretty keen. Plus, for slasher shippers, Superboy is a mix of Clark and Lex's genes. How cute.

I've been so good so far at not encouraging you, haven't I?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Plus, for slasher shippers

Yes! And even though I don't want Tim Drake to retire AT ALL, there is great possibility for lots of Tim angst coming up. Rebellious Superboy with his tight jeans and black T-shirt is also good stuff.

Plus, Kid Flash is gettin' pretty hot, too.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm starting to wonder if certain publishing companies, movie, and/or television studios are taking the slashability of characters in mind when creating new characters or series.

Either that, or y'all have corrupted me to the point where I could probably watch the McLaughlin Group and spot the HoYay.

Crap.

Friend of mine just offered my a 10% discount at local comic shop through the school club he runs.

Now I basically have to buy lots of comics.

Next time I insist the world is conspiring to make me geekier, maybe people will believe me.
