There were only six symbols on the coverstone. Daniel figured out that the symbols represented points in space and that a seventh point - the point of origin - was needed. And what that symbol was.
I think. I could be pulling this right out of my posterior.
I think Jars is right -- they were missing something, for sure.
Well, okay, but there are, what, thirty-five symbols on the Stargate? It's not going to take that long to find the right one to fit.
Or was it that they didn't know they needed a seventh symbol? I haven't watched the movie in a long time.
Or was it that they didn't know they needed a seventh symbol?
I think that was it.
Except, of course, for that one time they did use seven and lost whatsername's man.
Not forgetting the time they used
eight
to get Jack to the Asguard.
Why they don't just use speed dial I'll never understand.
Everyone knows that speed dial isn't avaliable on rotary dial stargates, they'd have to upgrade to touch-tone.
Okay, I think I'm going to have to retcon some magic into the Stargate universe. It couldn't open again until Daniel Jackson arrived. Yeah, that's... except for Ernest. But that was just to get them to leave it alone.
2010. It's great to catch an ep. you've never seen before.
Wah! Stargate season finale! Wah! HSQ out the kazoo! And I've only seen the first part! I may lose the ability to type exclamation marks altogether after next week's episode.
Hurry up American tv stations, and show the damn episode. It gets boring, squealing on my own.
I'll squeal with you tomorrow, Jars. Maybe tonight, if I get lucky and it's a fast download.
For once I'm being, er, marginally good, though. I'm not getting any more spoiled today than I was yesterday.
