They did an episode in the first season with an alien life that replicates Jack and then goes to visit his ex-wife. It covers the whole story. It's the one with the yellow sand and blue crystals.
I do think that his wife and child are mentioned in the pilot without much explanation.
questor! I thought EXACTLY the same thing! It's liquid Kryptonite.
And I really enjoyed seeing AB on Stargate on Friday -- I can't wait to see him next week.

I love that episode. I thought they did a really good job of not hitting the reset button, but also of not having Jack reap all the benefits of the alien's interactions.
Clearly, Sloane IS Adam Knight. It explains EVERYTHING.
Yes, it does. . . well, no, it doesn't. . . but can we have Lex on Alias anyway?
I'm imagining a scene involving Lex, Jack, Sark and Vaughn. . . I'm not sure that anything else needs to happen.

Dude, just the image of Lex and Sark in a smolder-off is enough to make me very happy.
Would they purse their pretty little lips at each other? Let their eyes roam pointedly?
Yes, and then Vaugh will look worried.
And Jack will look disapproving, yet still hot.

Sark would try to out-stare Lex. Lex would face him down with a "please, bitch," look. Sark would be impressed. Lex would let up a little bit. Sark would respond with a "We could do great things together, you and I" look. Lex would let on that he was interested, just a little bit.
And then I would die.
