I love Upgrades. When they're all ready to go for steak? ALL. SO. HOT.

I've just got the one nitpick with Upgrades, and that's the bit where the guy in the bar calls Daniel a geek (right? or nerd, I forget). For once Daniel's not wearing flannel or glasses -- he's looking hot as shit and pretty buff, so where the hell is that coming from?

I guess the guy must have read the script. "What the... He's the geek? Huh. I never woulda guessed."

And when Daniel starts the bar fight.

Not that I watch this show.

I never watched Charmed until I randomly saw an episode in a hotel last year and got sucked in by how pretty Rose McGowan is and how badly Alyssa Milano is dressed. And then I noticed how bad the special effects were, which made it even more fun to snicker at, and Buffy was ending, and the next thing I knew I kind of halfway *cared* about the characters.

I still have never seen a Shannen Doherty episode; I'll catch up if they ever put it out on DVD.

And when Daniel starts the bar fight.

Well, yeah, but I kind of liked that. "You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?"

Or, as Billy Crystal said, "Vwy gavareetye v'menoi?" Wow, I've never tried to write Russian with Roman letters before (and a decade-old memory of Russian grammar). 'S hard.

Oh, I liked it too. It was in response to ita's "they were so hot when" comment. He gets the whole sexy librarian thing going when the glasses come off.

His comment is ... "Not this time," isn't it? Poor, previously beaten up Daniel.

Yeah, Jack says "Let it go," and Daniel says, "Not this time."

I also laugh at the way they save on the special effects budget by only occasionally showing them doing something impressive, and the rest of the time, just having the "OOF!" and "CRASH!" sounds. It's just like Batman.

Oh good. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Dana, I thought you were nitpicking rather than appreciating the wonder that is The Daniel.

Oh my. Just remembered, I dreamed about two different TV shows with Michael Shanks in them last night. In one he was a bartender/Walgreen's pharmacist. No, really, he gave me a Prozac, a beer, and a bunny-shaped bottle of Pepto-Bismol. I don't remember what the other one was, just that I thought it was odd that he was in both, and hypothesized that the bartender/pharmacist must have been made in the late 90s sometime.

Yeah, no, I've given up on resisting that. Although I still say the resemblance between him and Blair is at times freakish.
