"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Well, I think they figured nobody "betrayed" them, but that there were several people who could've been mind-sucked by Anubis.

Art Crawl!!!

Is Anubis related to Glory?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Are you saying there's some kind of a connection between Anubis and Glory?

Up with the sun

So, Charmed last night...

First off, I'm glad to see they've discovered Harry Potter, as that offers many more plots to rip off that are not actually from Buffy.

Secondly, were we supposed to be *surprised* that Chris is Piper and Leo's younger son?

But the idea of a son going back in time to get his parents back together is pretty good. They should make a movie out of it. Preferably including a Delorean (sp?).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I caught the last five-ten minutes of Charmed, and got the impression that I hadn't missed a thing. I'm glad that Leo is their kid, because I think he's kinda cute. But does every episode of theirs have to be a direct ripoff of something, even if it's in the public domain?

Nope. A lot of silliness about a "magic school" that is equal parts X-Men and Harry Potter, their heads get chopped off but no one dies, and Phoebe has a vision of the future that leads her to realize the whitefonted thing. Really, the only interesting bit was the Phoebe vision quest.

As for the whitefont:

Chris is cute, but the relationship he has had with Leo and Piper -- especially Leo -- makes Angel and Connor look like role models. I don't expect the show to deal with this, however.

you can call me bob.

I gave up on Charmed sometime last year. Actually, I watched it in the beginning - thought it sucked - tested it out again with Rose McGowan and liked Cole - watched for a bit - and then finally gave it up on the grounds that I hate being annoyed.

So, this year I have only seen commercials and I had already guessed what is whitefonted above. Really, people, try a little complexity - it won't hurt.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Thankfully, Julian McMahon is showing more skin on Nip/Tuck than he ever did as Cole on Charmed (or in his R rated movies, for that matter), with the added bonus of actual intelligent dialogue to read.

I did finally catch Nip/Tuck towards the end of it's season. It is good. And way big on the gross out. Television shows you can't eat dinner with: Nip/Tuck, CSI and Six Feet Under.

Let me also say, I'm really annoyed with Carrie Bradshaw.

Yeah, I had the same Charmed pattern as Juli -- Julian McMahon is a huge draw for me.

Now that he's gone, Charmed is what I turn on if I sit down early for Alias.
