I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I gotta say, closer acquaintance does not improve the lame-osity of the RoboCop!drones. Eh.

My favorite is the fact that they are apparently not waterproof. No wonder they've got enough of a feeling of inadequacy to need codpieces.

Art Crawl!!!

Whew! I'm glad you saw him ita, because I saw him too.

Art Crawl!!!

BTW, I'm watching Monk and I think that the actress who played the Penis-head Demon Lady is in it.

Eh? Where was that? I must have nodded off briefly during the interminable slo-mo chase sequences. Didn't he/it tread into water at some point? Although, I bet they sink like sacks of rocks in deep water, what with their Vader armor and all.

The codpieces crack me up. It's to compensate for their teeny tiny brains, I imagine.

Well, it stepped into the (fairly shallow-looking) river and then stared at Sam. I suppose it could be a vampire that can't cross running water, but that seems unlikely.

The slo-mo made me think of Arwen and snicker.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Admittedly, I haven't seen a lot of SG1, but I like the dynamic between Jacob and Sam. Yeah, there are problems and issues, but there also seems like there's genuine affection. It's one of the nicer father and adult daughter relationships on television.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, and apparently the official name of that character from "Doublemeat Palace" is not "Penis-head Demon Lady" but rather, "Wig-Lady".

I guess it doesn't give away the hsq the way the other name does.

Oh yeah. I thought it looked a little bewildered. Maybe it didn't want its shiny onyx armour to get water stains.

BWHA! at the Arwen analogy. Except now, I've got this mental picture of it clutching Aragorn to its black-plated bosom on the Rivendell bridge. Ew.

Jacob and Sam are totally sweet together. I love them; they have a very natural chemistry.

*collapses in giggles*

Appalling yet strangely attractive thought: This must be a vid.

you can call me bob.

I'm always completely distracted with seeing the same locations over and over and over again on SG-1. Wasn't that the same pond that the medieval people drowned Teal'c in and the same pond on the Unas homeworld? And the same quarry from - like - every episode? I swear they tried to blow up the clone in that same spot before.
